The EN61000-3-12 standard comes into force

As from December 2010 is in force a new European standard, named (IEC/EN) 61000-3-12, which regulates the maximum levels of harmonic distortion produced by electrical equipment directly connected to the public low voltage electric distribution network (it concerns the power sources having a current of 16A to 75A each phase). It does not concern the power sources connected to private distribution cabins.
So the 61000-3-12 standard regulates this aspect by fi xing limits that the manufacturers should comply with.
In order to reduce and/or eliminate the harmonic distortion, Cebora has implemented different technical solutions, such as the PFC (Power Factor Correction) electronic devices.
The respect of such limits and a devoted manufacturing technology make it possible a lower electrical input by the power sources (particulary the single phase ones). This thanks to the fact that the electrical input from the low voltage public network happens by following the sinusoidal wave form, thus avoiding waste of energy and reflecting in a money saving fot the user.
Cebora has managed, in accordance with the EN 61000-3-12 standard,to update its whole product range, now introduced in the new price list no. 1-2011, thus offering to all our customers products stricly in compliance with the standard, technologically advanced and energy saving oriented for respecting the environment.
